The "SP" in our SPChallenge stands for "Single Parent" not, "Sarah Palin."
BUT, if you're facing some going back to school challenges or have some occupational
low self-esteem issues, you need to know, there are many successful people who don't have a history of triumphantly
and consecutively cruising through four years of an Ivy League education.
Bottom line:
Yes, in America, ... there is HOPE FOR YOU! (as demonstrated by recent political events!)
Your academic
resume right now could not be any worse than some of America's current more popular iconic figures
(see sidebar).
So, what's missing? How about... A PLAN
(and some obnoxious determination)!
On Friday, December 5th we will be getting together to talk about some
of our options as single parents, honestly discussing all that we already have to shoulder on a daily basis.
You will be surprised how ingenious, inventive, and determined many of your single parent brothers and sisters are!
We will be giving you the real deal about juggling school and/or other profitable avocations.
But, despite
the details we will be revealing, the main process we want to begin is a planning mindset for where we want to
be in 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012. This Single Parent planning framework is designed to be a support
tool even if you already have advanced degrees and are happy with your occupational level. Regardless of where we are
right now, we still want to practice the bibilical principle of planning (see Nov 27 '08 BLOG) to maximize our godly stewardship
assignment for ourselves and for our families.

Download the worksheets (to the right) and begin to pencil in a few details. We'll
use this at our next meeting.
God wants us to successfully manage all that He's given us.
Don't get stuck in thinking He's given others more than He's given you. That counter-productive reasoning
is exactly why Jesus so carefully relayed to us the Parable of the Talents (see Matthew 25:14-30). Instead,
focus on how you can exploit your Father's help and principles to be fruitful and multiply what you do have!
